Monthly Donation

Pledging a set amount of money each month is a very much appreciated way to sustain our work on a month to month basis.

Contributions can be directly withdrawn from your bank account, paid via credit card, or given as post dated cheques. All donations are tax deductible. A tax receipt will be issued in January of each year for the previous year’s donations. To make a regular monthly donation by cheque or direct withdrawal, print this form.

Vancouver Rape Relief gladly accepts new items for our transition house and rape crisis centre, and to distribute to the women we work with. Please find below a list of the items we need currently need most.

Include Vancouver Rape Relief in your will

When you include Vancouver Rape Relief as beneficiary in your will, your estate receives a tax deduction on the final income tax return

Name Vancouver Rape Relief as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy

Your insurance advisor and/or financial advisor will be able to make and advise you on all aspects of the use of life insurance policies for charitable giving. You can receive Income Tax receipts for the premiums on the policy, or you may assign fully paid life insurance policies and receive a tax benefit.

Establish a Trust Fund

A trust fund would pay interest, generate a tax credit and eventually benefit Vancouver Rape Relief. When you establish a Living Trust (there are several ways to do this) and make Vancouver Rape Relief the residual beneficiary, you receive the interest on your money and also receive a significant tax benefit. Your financial advisor can assist you to make and assess the value of this type of donation.

Tin Can Fundraising

One Saturday each month you will see our men and women volunteers on a street corner with their bold signs, asking for donations in their tin cans. Thank you for donating when you see these volunteers in your neighbourhood ! Contact us to get involved as a volunteer.

Donate a Wreck

To donate a car, truck, RV, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle for Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter go to https://donatecar.ca/org/donate.php?charitypage=VancouverRapeReliefAndWomensShelter

The Donate a Wreck program provides free towing in many areas across Canada, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. When you donate your car will either be recycled or sold at auction depending on its condition, age and location. Donate A Car Canada will look after everything to make your donation easy for you to support Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter.  

Donate now and Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter will send you a tax receipt after your car donation is complete.

Walk for Rape Relief

Join the annual Annual Walk for Rape Relief on the first Sunday in June. Register in advance as a walker and raise funds in your community, then on the big day, celebrate with us at our community picnic. A tradition for 40 years!

Annual Bowlathon

Team spirit is the name of the game at the annual Bowlathon, first Friday in November.
