Bill C-31, introduced by the government of Canada on February 16, 2012, contains provisions that will result in the arbitrary detention, intimidation, failure to protect, and ultimate re-victimization of highly vulnerable people who seek asylum in Canada, and who are also positioned to ultimately contribute significantly to Canada once settled. We are particularly concerned about the impact of Bill C-31 on women survivors of violence and children. Read more.
