Duma دمى (Dolls in Arabic) is regarded as the first film to shed light on men's sexual abuse of girls in Palestinian society. Haddad, the creator of a puppet theater show dealing with topics of rape and incest, decides to take her camera and journey from the north to the south of the country to document women who have endured sexual violence from father, uncles, and brothers. In her journey, she meets five women who reveal their sexual abuse and break the silence that was imposed on them.

"Duma is an extremely powerful documentary. Brutally realistic; revealingly provocative, and exceedingly enthralling." Dr. Eylem Atakav, Huffington Post UK

"Palestinian Film Breaks Ground on Women's Issues: First film in the Arab world to deal with sexual assault of women and girls released in Israel/Palestine" The Real News
