[VANCOUVER, B.C.] Twenty-nine years ago - on December 6, 1989 - Marc Lépine walked into an engineering class at L’École Polytechnique at the University of Montréal. He ordered the male students to leave. After they complied, he declared his hatred of feminists and began to shoot the women with a semi-automatic rifle. While police forces stood outside, Marc Lépine went on a rampage shooting and stabbing women at the school. In the end, he killed fourteen women. read more

This Saturday, December 1, 2018, Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter is hosting Montreal Massacre Memorial - an all-day event (10am-6:00pm) with speaks and roundtable conversations about male violence against women. The event will take place at The Vancouver public Library (350 West Georgia)
