On March 3rd, 36-year old Rose Paul, mother of five, was found dead in her East Vancouver home after being killed by her boyfriend.

Lisa Sparrow, a front-line worker at Vancouver Rape Relief and Women’s Shelter says: “BC women are not safe in their own homes. There is no economic support and police diligence for women who wish to leave abusive men. The BC government refuses to take women’s lives seriously and to create simple reforms that will ensure women’s safety.”
