Once again, we mark the Montreal Massacre of 1989. Each year, we gather to memorialize the women killed at Ecole Polytechnique that day and in other acts of male violence against women at different places and times but also to strategize an end to the misogynistic violence that continues to shape, stifle, and end our lives.
This year’s program features three conversations, with a break for lunch at 2:00pm:
- We Want More than Prostitution for Women: Launching a provincial campaign
- Stories of Survival and Resistance: A Conversation with Indigenous Women
- Justice Denied: Film Screening and Discussion (The Feminist Critique of, and Demands from, the Criminal Justice System)
This event is women-only and takes place at The Second Space – 748 Kingsway, Vancouver, BC.
