Help a Friend
Do you know someone who has a man in her life who: Hits her? Pushes her around? Calls her names, such as stupid, ugly, crazy, nagging, etc? Stopped her from seeing you or other friends, or from leaving the house? Done things to frighten her or threaten her? Do you know someone who has been sexually assaulted - recently or in the past?
Your support can make a significant difference. If you would like some ideas about how to talk to her, how to listen, how to be a good friend, parent, neighbor, therapist, teacher, co-worker in this situation you can call us for some suggestions. We can share with you what helped other women in similar situtations. We can also give you some information about how to take care of yourself while helping her. It's free to call and we are available 24 hours a day. You may call collect or ask us to phone you right back. We are completely confidential.
